The Notes app on iPhone and iPad is very useful and allows you to quickly jot down notes for all kinds of purposes. This function is no less useful than most applications, such as https://apps.apple.com/us/app/call-recorder-for-iphone/id1503665233, photoshop, messengers, etc. There are several ways to create a new note in the Notes app on iOS and iPad. Some of them are pretty quick and might be new to you, so if you're an avid Notes user, take a look and see some handy ways to make new notes on your iPhone or iPad. 

1: Notes icon on the home screen 

Long press the Notes app icon and select New Note to make a new note instantly on iPhone or iPad. 

2: From the Notes app 

Simply tapping the new note button in the Notes app also creates a new note. 

Bonus: If you have a keyboard connected to your iPad or iPhone, pressing N in the Notes app will also create a new note. 

3: On the lock screen or anywhere in Control Center, in another application. 

Go to Settings Control Center and make sure Notes and Quick Notes are enabled to use this cool feature. 

This is perhaps the fastest common way to create a new note from anywhere, no matter what device you're using. 

4: With Apple Pencil  on the lock screen 

Apple Pencil creates a new note when you tap on the iPad lock screen. This is very convenient for iPad and Apple Pencil users, and perhaps the fastest way to create a new note. 

5: To create a new Quick Note on iPad 

Swipe in from the bottom right corner of the screen. You can instantly create a new Quick Note by swiping from the bottom right corner of the iPad screen with your finger, stylus, or Apple pencil. 

Quick Notes is convenient because it hovers over active screen items, enabling multitasking on the iPad. They're useful enough that while they're currently limited to the iPad, they're sure to make their way to the iPhone. 

6: New Quick Note with iPad Keyboard Comm 

For iPad users with a keyboard connected to the device, pressing globe Q or fn Q will also create a new Quick Note from anywhere. 

7: Create a new note using Siri 

With the virtual assistant Siri, you can create a note instantly. 

Just invoke Siri and then say "make a new note about (topic or item)" or "create a new note about (item)". 

All these newly created notes can be searched, password-locked, shared,  scanned into documents, click photos or videos directly into notes or use other handy note-taking tricks. And if you accidentally or unintentionally delete someone, you can restore them too.
