Only tried the gold wow classic SL pre-patch last night since I was enthused about levelling in Northrend again. There is nothing resembling a challenge, you 1-2 shot all the mobs (even with your basic starter charms at level 10). There's no possibility of death when questing.
We decided to do a dungeon run and went to the Nexus. I remember being rather challenging back in the afternoon, but we just cleared through without even taking notice of healer/tank/dps roles.
I was absolutely not convinced you may actually die so as a DPS I chose to run up ahead and pull like 6 packs of trash. In my surprise I'd die, but nobody else did - I was ressed and we continued and completed the dungeon in like 10 minutes.
So yeah for those who have come to wow classic gold after a very long absence from the sport, or for those for whom wow classic gold is their first WoW encounter, I do not think there'll be much exodus to retail.
I like there to be SOME challenge involved, not just 1-2 shotting everything so quickly you fly through the quests as fast as you can run.There's something to be said about strategically approaching and pulling mobs and not only Leroy Jenkinsing everything and coming out unscathed.
Like, they redid all of the managers in buy wow classic gold Deadmines. . Now they have mechanics, trendy, but you can pull 10 mobs at one time and ignore the mechanics and be nice. So. . why?
The wow classic gold variant at that level is significantly more difficult. It is like, if you do not want there to be any challenge whatsoever until epic and mythic difficulty, why even have the base content? Just skip it, focus your efforts on creating more/better raid content if that is what the game actually is.
